Checked Rows converts bank and credit card statements inside your web browser. This page explains exactly what is and isn't collected.

Your statements

The PDFs you open are read by code running on your own device. They are not uploaded, stored or seen by us, and the same goes for any PDF password you type. The site sends a security policy that stops the page from contacting any server other than this website, so it cannot send your files anywhere else.

What is stored in your browser

• A list of scrambled IDs for the free statements you converted today, so the daily allowance works without an account.
• Your license key, if you bought a pass or Pro, so you don't have to paste it again.
• Your country code for one day, so prices show in your currency without asking again.

These stay in your browser's local storage. Clearing your browsing data removes them. We don't use cookies.

What our server sees

• Free-use count. When you download a free statement, the page sends our server a scrambled ID of the file (a one-way hash that can't be turned back into the file or its contents). The server stores it with a one-way hash of your internet connection's IP address and today's date, so the free limit can't be reset by clearing your browser. These records are deleted after the day ends.
• Country. To show prices in your currency, the page asks our server which country your connection is in. The answer comes from our hosting provider and isn't stored.
• License checks. When you activate a license key, the key is sent to our server, which checks it with our payment provider, Dodo Payments. A key is rechecked about once a day.

Layout files

If a statement doesn't convert properly, you can create a layout file to send us. It is made on your device, with names, account numbers and amounts replaced by placeholders, and it reaches us only if you choose to email it.

Payments

Purchases are processed by Dodo Payments as merchant of record. They collect your name, email and payment details to charge you, send your receipt and license key, and meet tax rules. Their privacy policy applies to that information. We receive your email address and order details from them.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP address and pages requested) to run and protect the service. We don't use advertising or tracking.
