Bought a pass or Pro? Your key is in the receipt email. It works in up to 3 browsers.
Card statements rarely print a running balance, so the check uses the totals instead: the previous balance plus purchases, minus payments and refunds, must equal the new balance.
The password is used only in this browser. Indian banks often use the first four letters of your name plus your date of birth (DDMM).
That password didn't open the file. Try again or skip it.
Your file never leaves this device.
Not right for your bank? Send us an anonymous layout file and we'll add support for it.
Email it to us. Names, account numbers and amounts are replaced with placeholders; column headings such as Date and Balance are kept so we can see the layout.

Use the statement PDF from your card provider's website or app.
Purchases and fees become money out; payments and refunds become money in.
That means every transaction was found and the sum matches the new balance to the cent. If not, the difference is shown so you can spot a missing line.
Each transaction is one row with a real date and number, ready to sort, filter or categorise.
One PDF, or a year of them with a pass or Pro, including password-protected files. Your browser reads the text and column positions; the statement isn't sent to any server.
Between two printed balances, the money in and out must add up exactly. Rows that do get a tick. A row that doesn't is highlighted with the difference.
Excel or CSV with real dates and numbers, or files ready for QuickBooks Online and Xero.
Each transaction is matched against the running balance on the statement. Anything that doesn't add up is flagged with the exact difference, so you never import a misread figure.
Statements are read in your browser and never leave your device. The site's security policy blocks the page from contacting any other website, and conversion keeps working with your Wi-Fi off.
With a pass or Pro, drop twelve monthly PDFs and get one spreadsheet with a Statement column, plus a Checks sheet that shows every balance that was verified.
Excel and CSV, plus the exact column layouts QuickBooks Online and Xero expect when you import a bank statement.
Separate money in and out columns, signed amounts, CR and DR markers, any common date style, and numbers written 1,234.56, 1.234,56 or 1,23,456.78.
If a statement doesn't convert cleanly, one click creates an anonymous layout file. Send it to us and we'll update the reader for your bank.
Most converters sell monthly page credits and process your statements on their servers. Checked Rows works differently.
| Feature | Checked Rows | Typical page-credit converters |
|---|---|---|
| Regular use | $6.99 a month, unlimited | $29 to $30 a month for 60 to 400 pages |
| Unused allowance | Nothing to use up | Page credits reset every month |
| Free use | 2 statements a day, no sign-up | 1 to 5 pages a day, or a short trial |
| Where your PDF goes | Stays on your device | Uploaded to the provider's servers |
| Balance check | Shown on every row | Varies by tool |
| Scanned paper statements | Not yet | Often supported |

No. The PDF is read by your browser on your computer. The site's security policy only lets the page talk to this website, and it does so for three small things: checking a license key, counting free statements (using a scrambled ID, never the file), and looking up your country to show prices in your currency. You can turn off your Wi-Fi after the page loads and it still converts.
You can convert 2 statements a day, one at a time, without signing up. Downloading the same statement again doesn't count twice. The allowance is counted in your browser and, anonymously, per internet connection, and it resets every day. A 7-day pass or Pro removes the limit and lets you convert many statements at once.
Most statements print a running balance. Between two printed balances, the money in and out must add up exactly to the change. Every row that does gets a tick. If a group of rows is off, even by one cent, it's highlighted with the exact difference so you can check it against the PDF.
Text-based PDFs downloaded from online banking or a card issuer, in most layouts and countries. Scanned paper statements (photos or images of pages) aren't supported yet.
Click Create layout file under the result. It saves a small file describing where the text sits on each page, with names, account numbers and amounts replaced. Email it to us and we'll update the reader for your bank and let you know when it's ready.
You'll be asked for the password when you drop the file. It's used only inside your browser to open the PDF and is never stored or sent.
After checkout you come back to this page and your license turns on automatically. The key is also in your receipt email, so you can paste it under License key in another browser (up to 3). The 7-day pass ends after 7 days and never renews. Pro renews monthly or yearly until you cancel, and keeps working until the end of the period you paid for.
To cancel or change your plan, use Manage subscription at the bottom of the page and sign in with the email you paid with, or email us and we'll do it for you.
